As part of the capacity building activities within The Joint Programme Initiative ”More Years Better Lives” a pre-conference workshop for early career researchers will be held. We invite students, trainees and emerging researchers to this event which will be held on Sunday afternoon June 19th as part of the 23rd Nordic Congress of Gerontology in Tampere, Finland June 19–22, 2016.
In this workshop early career researchers will meet a panel of renowned international scholars in the fields of Demography and Gerontology. The panel will give their views on a number of important issues for early career researchers with plenty of time for asking questions and discussions. Topics explored include publishing, networking, interdisciplinary research collaboration, knowledge translation and how to create a meaningful relationships with colleagues and research partners.
The workshop will also include a session on Public and stakeholder engagement (to be confirmed).
The panel preliminary include distinguished Professors Dorly Deeg, Sarianna Sipilä, Jean-Marie Robine.
Eligible participants include research assistants, masters and doctoral students and post-docs. The workshop is free of cost.
